October 10th Meeting!!
So a lot happened at this meeting.
First we talked about the homecoming parade. This will be happening right before the homecoming game (November 4th) and we will be dressing up to show club and school spirit! We need up to 12 volunteers that want to participate in the parade with us so let me know if you are interested. At the OCTOBER 24TH meeting we will be talking specifically on what we are wearing, decorating the poster, and exactly what wwill be happening!
Next we have the Love Walk on November 5th starting at 9am. It is being held at Crossroads Church and is a walk to support the disabled. Again, email me if you are interested and I can send you more information on it.
This month we are fundraising for UNICEF with Trick or Treat for UNICEF, and we will be passing out the containers on OCTOBER 24TH for everyone interested to collect change for service hours. But we will also be having a booth at Dos Lagos every Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm, if you want to volunteer they will start the booth next week. Email me for info.
We did homecoming elections today, Annie Lay and Grady Yu were our homecoming court nominees! :D
Lastly, we took dues, ONLY ONE MORE MEETING TO TURN THEM IN!

Got Box Tops??
We are STILL collecting Box Tops for service hours!
10 box tops = 1 hour!
BUT, you can only have a total of 3 hours a semester from box tops! Meaning you will only get service hours for the first 30 box tops you bring in! But we still encourage you to bring more! :D We are collecting them to donate to a local elememtary school at the end of the year, and would love to be able to donate as much as possible!

Second Meeting.
KEY CLUB, HOW YA’ FEELING?
SO thanks to everyone who came out to the second meeting! But if you were unable to make it here is what we covered!
- Dues are $15 and the LAST DAY to turn them in is OCTOBER 24TH! Be sure to stop by and get a Due Information Sheet in F213, because you will have to turn this in when you pay. We will accept dues at the next meeting (SEPTEMBER 26TH).
- We have Club Rush this week out in the quad. So bring some friends or just stop by the booth! :)
- Choir Car Wash this SATURDAY, (9/17). They need volunteers! It’s from 9am-1pm. Email me at marissamares@ymail.com for more information if you are interested!
- Kiwanis Bingo Night at Citrus Hills needs 5-6 volunteers on October 1st to help set up and serve food! It’s from 5pm-7.
- CHEER! So we all learned our divisional cheer and here it is!
“KEY CLUB, HOW YA’ FEELING??”
“WE FEEL GOOD, OH, WE FEEL SO GOOD! WE FEEL FINE ALL OF THE TIME! *fist pump and turn around like in Jump On It dance* ABOOGA ABOOGA, ABOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!”
Yeeeeah. It can be super embarassing, but if everyone is into it, then its just fun! And at events, other clubs get super excited to do the cheers, so show some spirit! :D
- We decorated cans to collect change for UNICEF. We plan on asking teachers to keep the cans in their rooms, and hopefully we’ll be able to go to the football games and collect change there too!
That was all!
If you need a Service Hour Sheet either stop by Mrs. Burris’ (F213) when you have a chance, or just come to the next meeting and I’ll have some for you guys!

@Anonymous "What are some volunteer options or suggestions to do?"
I would recommend volunteering at your school, with tutoring or clean up. Very simple and sometimes fun to do. Also hit up your local library, senior center, or settlement house; they are ALWAYS looking for some good help! And Petco is oftenlooking for volunteers to assist in cleaning up after the animals, may not be the most glamorous thing, but can be fun and gets you the necessary service hours!
